Nominate a working mom for our Retreat Giveaway! February 16, 2010

We wanted to create this event to help YOU. And one way we wanted to reach out is by offering the opportunity to attend the retreat to one deserving working mom who might otherwise not be able to attend.
So we are excited to give you a chance to nominate a working mom to win registration to our retreat on March 27-28. How it works:
- Submit a comment below by February 28th March 10th explaining why the mom you’re nominating should attend (her full name not required, for privacy) – Why does she need and deserve this retreat? How can we help her? (Yes, you CAN nominate yourself. And please only nominate women who have a good chance of being available to come, i.e. not your cousin in Alaska.)
- On March 1st March 11th, the retreat organizers (Denuelle Meyer and Karen Renzi) will choose a “short list” of finalists from the entries and post it for your votes. Please vote only once.
- On March 5th March 16th, we’ll tally the votes and select the winner.
- We’ll notify the author of the winning nomination post so she can put us in touch with the woman she nominated to register her!
- BONUS – All finalist nominators and nominees will get $20 rebate off their own registrations and a special gift in their retreat goody bags.

Over Christmas break this past year, my 31 yr. old sister found out that she had a cancerous tumor on her thyroid. The next month for her was a whirlwind of worrying, working, and most importantly taking care of her daughter and twin boys. On January 26th she had a partial lobectomy of the thyroid and waited fretfully for over a week for the pathology report. Fortunately the report came back free and clear of all cancer. It has only been a few weeks since then and now my sister has a new outlook on life. She wants a better balancing act for her family while still being able to contribute to her household financially. She has been out of work for a couple of months now trying to recooperate and has started attending church regularly. She loves to be pampered and I would love to help her by bringing her to your retreat. Thank you for considering my nomination.
